Our mantels are completely non-combustable and will not burn. They are therefore suitable to surround the hottest gas or log burning heaters. 

Our fireplace surrounds are lightweight but solid. They are manufactured with two outer layers of White Die Stone to provide a hard durable face. A third layer with fibreglass for reinforcement is then applied for tensile strength. Finally they are filled with a thermal insulating foam to increase compressive strength. This ensures that they are extremely strong and durable but still relatively light in weight. The face has a compressive strength similar to concrete. 

All fireplace mantels are clear sealed before leaving the workshop and can be left as such. However they can also be painted by customers to the desired colour to match their interior decor.
